Adding products correctly affects your inventory (each product sold is deducted from stock) / your billing (VAT is calculated according to each product) / and your reports (sales by product / margins / etc.). If you add the wrong product, your inventory will be out of balance.
Search by name
The most common way:
Click Add product or the search field
Type at least 2-3 letters of the name
A list of matching products appears
Click the desired product
By SKU
Useful when you know the product's internal code. The SKU is the code you assign to each product. Unlike the barcode (which comes from the manufacturer), the SKU is defined according to your organization system.
Example: Barcode 7891234567890 / SKU CAM-AZU-M (Blue Medium T-shirt)
Set quantity
By default, each product is added with quantity 1. To change it:
Click the quantity field
Enter the desired number
The subtotal is recalculated automatically
Useful shortcuts: + and - buttons to adjust one by one / type directly for large quantities.
⚠️ If you request more quantity than is available, the system will warn you. You can continue (sale with negative stock) or adjust the quantity.
Modify price
The price comes from the catalog, but you can modify it in the sale if necessary (special negotiation / promotional price / catalog error).
Click the product price
Enter the new price
The system recalculates subtotal and taxes
The price change only applies to this sale. It does not modify the price in the catalog.
Products with variants
If the product has variants (sizes / colors / etc.):
You search for the base product (e.g.: Basic T-shirt)
A variant selector appears
You choose the specific combination (e.g.: Size M / Color Blue)
The selected variant is added
Each variant has its own stock / possibly different price / unique SKU.
Delete or modify products
Delete: Find the product line / click the delete icon (🗑️ or X) / the product is removed and the totals are recalculated.
Modify: Simply click the corresponding field and change the value. You don't need to delete and add it again.
Common problems
I can't find the product → The product has not been created in the catalog / is marked as inactive / the name is written differently. Check the Products module.
Insufficient stock → You're requesting more quantity than is available. You can reduce the quantity / continue with negative stock (if your configuration allows it) / or create a purchase order.
The price is incorrect → The price in the catalog is outdated. Modify it in the sale and then update the catalog.
