A quote is an estimate you send to the customer before closing the sale. It does not affect inventory or generate tax documents. Use a quote when the customer wants to compare prices / you need approval before selling / it is a project or large order / or the customer will request the work later. Use direct sale when the customer pays now.

Assign customer
Just like in sales, search for or create the customer. Although the quote does not require an invoice, having the customer allows you to: send the quote by email or WhatsApp / convert it into a sale without re-entering data / follow up.
Add products
Add the products just like in a sale: search by name / code or SKU / set quantities and prices / apply discounts if applicable.
Set validity
Define how long the quote is valid:
Validity date — After this date, prices may change
Notes — Special conditions / delivery times / etc.
Save
The quote is saved with the status Pending, ready to send to the customer.
Send to customer
Email — Sends a professional PDF with all the details
WhatsApp — Share the link or PDF directly
Print — Generates a paper version
Quote statuses
Pending — Just created / waiting for a response
Sent — Sent to the customer
Approved — Customer accepted (ready to convert)
Rejected — Customer did not accept
Expired — The validity date has passed
Converted — Turned into a sale
